So I started buying postcards from Vietnam in 1988.

I bought them at fairs and garage sales. I collected by feeling, by the beauty I felt when I looked at these postcards.
My purchase prices rarely exceeded 15 francs.

I didn’t have an album, too expensive for my taste, so I kept my collection in a shoebox.

One day I bought a book on postcards from Indochina and heard for the first time about Dieulefils “the postcard publisher in Indochina”.

And then, after a trip to Vietnam, I decided to tidy up my postcards, put them in order, classify them and document the shooting of these photos. Because postcards are first and foremost a photograph of a living space.

I discovered new editors, new views of this mysterious Indochina.

And I’ve decided to share them with you.
