We celebrated Tet in all its splendor: music, dancing, laughter... and of course, a delicious feast, surrounded by family and friends. But what does Têt really symbolize?
Têt is much more than a simple celebration. It’s the arrival of spring, of renewal. It’s the moment when we chase away winter and welcome the first flower to bloom. In France, it’s Carnival; in Asia, it’s Têt, a moment of pure joy to celebrate the dawn of a new year.
And among those who have captured the magic of this moment is Chinh, an amateur photographer whose unique eye has immortalized the very essence of this festival. Cartacaro has already told you about him. Chinh has created a series of Têt postcards, rare works not easily found. But reproductions of his photos are in circulation, donated by other publishers.
Over time, and with spring just around the corner, Cartacaro will be bringing you these magnificent cards.
And if you have any original images of the Spring Festival or of religious and Buddhist processions, please scan them and send them to us at contact. We’ll be delighted to publish them and share this beauty with the Cartacaro world.
C’est bien une vue de Chinh. La carte postale reproduite comporte encore le nom du texte écrit pat Chinh
